Your Golden Paste six-batch kit contains 16 oz. cold-pressed organic coconut oil, one pound organic turmeric powder, 42 grams organic black peppercorns and 48 grams organic Ceylon cinnamon, enough to make approximately six batches of Golden Paste. The spices come in convenient reclosable ziplock bags, and should be stored in a cool, dry place They do not need to be refrigerated or frozen.
Raw cold-pressed coconut oil is a liquid above about 75 degrees F/25 degrees C. If your kitchen is cooler than that, the oil may congeal into a solid. This is normal and does not indicate a problem. It can be stored in your kitchen cupboard or on a pantry shelf. It does not need to be refrigerated.
Your peppercorns may be ground in any standard pepper grinder, in a coffee grinder or in a mortar and pestle. Grind enough for each batch when you make it, rather than grinding the entire amount at one time. This helps to preserve the piperine in the pepper.
Your kit comes with extensive illustrated instructions to make and use the paste. It will keep in the refrigerator (must be refrigerated) for two-three weeks. You may freeze a portion of it if you think you won't use up the entire amount within that period.
