Golden paste for your pets, even if you don't have time to make it! Pre-packaged shelf-stable golden paste, made to Doug English's recipe and enhanced with Ceylon cinnamon. This is exactly the same as the product for humans, but with Ceylon cinnamon instead of ginger (and if you prefer the taste of cinnamon for yourself, it's fine for human use too).

Use this just as you would homemade golden paste, starting out with no more than 1/4 tsp for medium to large dogs and 1/8 tsp for small dogs or puppies, or for cats and other small pets. After 4-5 days, you can slowly increase the amount you're giving until you see results with pain, stiffness, or any of the benefits turmeric is known for. Include it in or with food, for best digestion and availability of the active compounds. One caution: if your pet is getting any prescription medications, it's best to ask your vet whether any of them would have interactions with turmeric, black pepper or cinnamon.

Most pets have no problem accepting golden paste if you start off with very small amounts. But if you know your pet is very picky, try giving it in some kind of high-value treat, such as tuna fish or sardines for cats or the Peanut Butter Power Balls for dogs in our recipe section.
